My name is Braden Holt and I’m currently the only content contributor for the Energy Harbinger. The purpose of this blog is to provide energy news and analysis for investors and the general public who are interested in staying current on the dynamics of the energy industry. The blog will feature equity research on oil and gas and alternative energy stocks, in addition to more general topics relating to the future of the energy industry.
My background is primarily in oil and gas and finance; however I did receive a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Nebraska. I grew up working in the oil and gas industry as a landman during and after college. Several years after college, I decided to go back to school to study finance at Daniels College of Business (University of Denver) where I earned a masters in finance. After I graduated from Daniels, I worked in Denver for EnerCom, Inc., an oil and gas consulting firm, as an analyst where I wrote equity research for our website in addition to the other common responsibilities of an analyst. I hope that you find the content of this blog timely and useful, and I appreciate your comments and feedback.
